PARIS — The town is hosting an opportunity to meet the four candidates running for the Board of Selectmen.

The Friday evening event will allow candidates to speak about themselves and Paris residents will have an opportunity to ask questions. The presentation is expected to last about an hour.

John Goodwin, Charles “Tom” Hurd, Robert Kirchherr and Ryan Lorrain are running for two seats left open by selectmen Raymond Glover and Lloyd “Skip” Herrick.

Goodwin is the trailmaster for the X-Tra Mile ATV Club.

Hurd, who served on the Budget Committee, owns several businesses, including a trucking company.

Kirchherr has been the chairman of the Planning Board for three years.

Lorrain is sergeant-at-arms for the Maine House of Representatives. He recently ran against Rep. Terry Hayes and lost in a close race.

All four have agreed to attend the forum, according to Barbara Payne of Paris, who announced the event at the Board of Selectmen meeting on Monday.

The forum will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Paris Town Hall. Norway-Paris Community TV will tape and broadcast it later for residents who can’t attend.

The Paris municipal election is set for June 14.
