WILTON — The Wilton Group will host an informal meet-and-greet candidate forum from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Calzolaio Pasta Co. in the second-floor conference room.

Organizers hope to provide an opportunity for the community to meet and ask questions of the candidates running for the Board of Selectmen.

Two three-year positions are being sought by Steven Smith, challenging Terry Brann; and Paul Berkey Jr., challenging Paul Gooch.

There is a four-person race among Tiffany Maiuri, Kyle Ellis, D. Scott Taylor and Michael Wells, who are competing for the remaining two years of Irv Faunce’s three-year term that opened when he resigned last month.

The candidates will be introduced by Susan Atwood, chairwoman of The Wilton Group, and will be allotted five minutes to answer five questions, including inquiries about their occupations and backgrounds, skills, reasons for running, identification of pressing issues for the town and how they can make a difference.

When all candidates have finished, the floor will be open for questions from the audience. The candidate forum is open to the public and Mount Blue TV will cover the event.
