LEWISTON — An inside and outside event, The Root Cellar’s Summer Evening of Love & Laughter will offer the opportunity to enjoy a great summer evening in Maine, with dinner cooked out and provided by the culinary arts students at The Green Ladle, with grilled chicken, all the trimmings, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at The Green Ladle, 156 East Ave.

Proceeds help the Lewiston Root Cellar continue making a difference in downtown Lewiston, reaching at-risk kids and their families.

There will be live music by local artists, featuring Joel and Janna, Grimaldi Martinez and Fortress, as well as a silent and live auction.
