CAMPTON, N.H. — The White Mountain National Forest has announced that fees will be waived for Saturday, June 11, in celebration of National Get Outdoors Day. These fee waivers will be offered in cooperation with other federal agencies under the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act.

“National Get Outdoors Day is all about being outside,” said White Mountain National Forest Supervisor Tom Wagner. “I can’t think of a better way to spend the day than on the National Forest, enjoying the hiking, bicycling, a picnic or scenic drive — take your pick. I encourage you to get out and discover your backyard.”

Day use fees will be waived across the White Mountain National Forest. However, fees will remain in effect for overnight camping, cabin rentals, permits, reservations and activities offered by concessionaires.
