PARIS — The Paris Public Library, located at 37 Market Square, Paris, is holding a used book sale on Saturday, July 30. The sale will be from 8 a.m. to noon, and will be held in the driveway between the library and the Paris Town Office. In case of bad weather, the sale will be held in the downstairs meeting room of the neighboring Deering Memorial Community Center. Shoppers are just asked to make a donation for the items they select.
Proceeds from the donations are used to purchase new books for the library’s children’s collection. For more information, please call the Paris Public Library at 207-743-6994 or email [email protected]. Another sale is being held on Saturday, August 27, which will feature an entirely new selection of books.

Comments are not available on this story. Read more about why we allow commenting on some stories and not on others.
We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
