Kayla Adams of Livermore, Crown of Maine Miss, traveled July 8-11 to the Grande Lakes Resort in Orlando, Florida, to compete in the Crown of America pageant.
This was Adams’ first national pageant. She returned home July 12, bringing a national title to Maine.
Adams is now Crown of America Miss 2022-23, according to a news release from Adams.
The pageant was a two-day event. Each delegate competed in interview, fun fashion, casual wear, evening gown, and photogenic competitions.
Adams now seeks volunteer opportunities and appearances around the state. For any appearance bookings and volunteer opportunities, email her at [email protected].
She is excited for this year to promote her platform, “Kayla Feeds Maine,” and help all needs be met around her community.
Her message to others looking to pursue their dreams is “Don’t give up on your dreams, or your dreams will give up on you.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
