LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center will hold a free nutrition workshop for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. “Eating for Energy & Happiness” will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at CMMC, 12 High St., in conference room A.

Recovering energy after cancer treatment can be easier with the right foods.

Presenter Kendall Scott will discuss energy-boosting foods, “super” foods, raw food and how to incorporate them in your diet. She will also discuss the food-mood connection — eating well helps our bodies, thoughts and emotions — and provide a power smoothie and juicing demonstration.

Scott is a three-year cancer survivor and holistic health coach.

Preregistration is available by calling the Dempsey Center at 795-8250, toll-free 1-877-336-7287 or online at www.dempseycenter.org. For more on Kendall Scott, visit www.kendallscottwellness.com.
