Chesterville Family Fun Day, a free event, is planned for Saturday, Aug. 20, with a parade starting at 9 a.m. on the Valley Road in Chesterville and ending at the Town Office at 409 Dutch Gap Road. In the event of rain, the parade will be held Sunday, Aug. 21. Setup will begin at 8:30 a.m. on the Zions Hill side, according to a news release from event organizers.
Autumn Addicts will perform live music the Town Office. There will be burgers, hotdogs and chicken for sale. Snow cones and popcorn will be by donation. There will be a bounce house for children, face painting, tug of war, a skillet and hammer toss followed by a horseshoe tournament. Firetruck tours and small prizes for the children also are planned.
There will be vendors setup and space is still available for any vendors wanting a table. The cost is $25 unless vendor brings own table, then the cost is $15.
