Items left by students were for sale, with proceeds benefiting local nonprofits. Anthony Leone of Wales arrived at 6 a.m. for the 8 a.m. opening and was nowhere close to the front of the line. “I swear some people slept here,” Leone said as he read the book “The World’s Great Speeches” to pass the time. Debbie Gregorczuk of Lewiston was the first in line, arriving at “4:30 sharp.”
