PARIS — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension and the Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District will offer a tour of a bison farm on September 28, 1 – 3 p.m.
Join Doretta and Ted Colburn, owners of Beech Hill Farm & Bison Ranch in Waterford, to learn about this former dairy farm turned bison and vegetable operation. Learn about the unique needs of raising bison, how they have incorporated sustainability into their farm, and the lessons they’ve learned. Frozen bison meat will be available for purchase on-site.
Registration is required and a sliding scale program fee of $15 per family is optional. Registration and payment information is available on the event webpage.
