Note: Because of illness on the baking team, the chicken pie sale has been cancelled.

HARRISON — The Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church plans to sell chicken pies and gravy on Saturday, Oct. 15.

Chicken pies must be picked up between noon and 2 p.m. at the 664 Bolsters Mills Road church in Bolsters Mills Village, Harrison, unless arrangements are made when placing the order, according to a news release from Karen Turino, organizer.

The cost of a chicken pie with gravy is $15. Multiple pies can be ordered, but large quantities cannot always be honored. The chicken pies are fully cooked and can be frozen and reheated for a future meal.

Chicken pies will not be sold in November or December, to give the turkeys a chance to be featured. A decision will be made early in 2023 about when to restart pie sales.

Those who would like to purchase chicken pies through the winter months are encouraged to let organizers know when ordering or picking up a pie on Oct. 15.

Orders for pies will be taken only on the morning of Oct. 15 by calling the church between 9 and 11 a.m. at 207-583-9024. Organizers ask that no messages be left.
