SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Lisbon Falls student Katie Tibbetts performed in “Fall Play Play On!” Nov. 4, 5 and 6 at Western New England University.

This was Tibbetts’ first production with Stageless Players in which she took on the role of Lightboard. She has been a part of a handful of productions in her high school’s drama department before the pandemic, including being on lightboard for “White Snake” (assistant lightboard), “Annie” (Main Lightboard) and “Picture of Dorian Gray” (Lightboard/Light Design).

Tibbetts is working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy Studies.

The hysterical and joyful Play On! gives spectators insight into the trials that production and cast go through while putting on a show. Filled with forgotten lines, late or early entrances, and technical issues the show will have the whole audience laughing to the point of tears. The sold-out show production will start the Stageless Players season on a high note.

Telling the story of Rick Abbot’s 1980 comedy about the antics of a community theater group. Four days from opening night the production gets hit with the biggest curveball … the author decides to re-write his play “Murder Most Foul.” To all involved, the show seemed to be heading toward disaster, but to everyone’s surprise, the show turned out to be madly amusing.

The performance was made possible by Student Senate, the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership, and the Department of Communication, Media, and the Arts.
