DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A Devin Harris dunk in the final minute put the exclamation point on Bates’ 75-68 men’s basketball win over Gettysburg College at the Daytona Beach Shootout on Friday.

Harris’s slam came with Bates holding a 71-68 lead with 35 seconds left. Harris finished with 11 points, equaling Elliott Cravitz, Trace Gotham paced the Bobcats with 19 and Steph Baxter added 17.

Ryan McKeon led Gettysburg with 16 points. Carl Schaller finished with 14 points and Akim Joseph dropped in 12.

WESLEYAN 73, UMF 62: Preston Maccoux was one of four Cardinals starters to score in double digits in the win over the Beavers in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Marcoux had 16 points while Nicky Johnson and Gabe Ravetz each had 11 points. Jared Langs finished the game with 10 points.

Terion Moss led all scorers with 19 points for UMF. Jack Kane and Nathan Poulin each had 14 points in the losing effort.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE 61, BATES 52:
Jeniyah Jones led the Anchormen with 18 points in the victory over the Bobcats in Albany, New York.

Iszabelle Booth finished the game with 14 points in the win and Antonia Corsinetti had 12 points.

Meghan Graff had a game-high 19 points and Alexandria Long had 16 points in the losing effort.
