75th reunion

AUBURN — The Edward Little High School class of 1936 will hold its 75th reunion Saturday, Aug. 6, at Rolandeaus. A social hour with cash bar will begin at 11:30 a.m., with luncheon at 12:30.

Notices and registration forms have been sent to members whose addresses are on file. The committee is looking for the following classmates: Lucille Bates Roakes, Florence Buck Aube, James Burdick, Charles Clements, Elaine Gray Brownell, Regina LaRose Lawler, Loren Lorentzen, Erland Lowell, Albert Quance, Frances White Taylor, Lester Feeny, Bernard Gorman, Milton Pierce, Joseph Clayton Stephens and Marion Witherell.

Nature hikes

NEW GLOUCESTER — The monthly Nature Hikes at Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, Route 26, will be offered at both 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6. The hikes cover fields, forests and the lake that are not available for general public viewing. Learn about flora, fauna and history with Carol Beyna, a trained naturalist. Fees: $5 adults, $2 children, under 6 free. Reservations suggested, 926-4597.

Herb wreath

NEW GLOUCESTER — Fresh herbs from the Shaker gardens will be the starting point for a Biblical Herb Wreath Workshop to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, Route 26. Each herb used in the 12-inch wreath will have a biblical history and is part of the language of flowers. Instructor is Betsey-Ann Golon, Shaker Village herbalist. Preregistration required. Theta Healing

HARTFORD — Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Camp will present Theta Healing with Rev. Lashell Moon and Chris Owen from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at 25 Camp Road. Entrance is by a $20 donation.

Moon is an interfaith minister. She has a bachelor’s degree in social work and is a Reiki Master and spiritual healer with a vast knowledge of other energy work modalities.

Owen is a spiritualist lycentiate minister practicing the science, philosophy and religion of continuous life.

Theta Healing is a holistic modality involving grounding into the center of Mother Earth and drawing up kundalini energy, which opens and clears  chakras as consciousness rises up through the body and out the crown chakra. The Theta state of mind is obtained when one sends out consciousness to connect with the Creator, allowing one to co-create with God what seems like miraculous healing. Participants will learn why healing doesn’t always happen and how to remedy this.
