Lewiston and Edward Little High School students are combining talents to present a concert fundraiser, “Sounds of the Cities: 2011,” on Saturday, July 30, at the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewiston. “Sounds of the Cities” was created in 2007 by students to help promote the arts in the community by raising funds to keep the school drama clubs alive. This year’s show will carry on the tradition of hosting singers, instrumentalists, actors and comedians — both current students and alumni. Producing the show is Cassie Webster, above, of Edward Little. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets, $10, may be purchased at the door. There will be an open bar at intermission for adults; treats and snacks will be sold. Proceeds will be divided equally between the two schools.
