AUBURN — Wicked Illustrations Studio and Gallery will host an evening of art and wine for the opening of its “Vanity, Vision and Vino” exhibit on Friday, Aug. 12.

On display will be fine artwork done by local artists who interpreted the theme of vanity through self-portraits as well as their own visions.

Some participating artists are Melanie Therrien, acrylic on canvas, baskets and decorative pieces; Abigail Drew, jewelry and acrylic on canvas and glass; Clarinda Tremblay, photography; Linda Quigley, pet portraits; Melinda Campbell,  multimedia; and Thelma Manson, jewelry.

The reception will run from 7 to 9 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be served and there will be a silent auction of selected pieces from past exhibits. The event is free.

Artwork will be on display through September. Wicked Illustrations is at 190 Riverside Dr.
