OXFORD — A Norway man was arrested Wednesday after he handed an employee at a drive-thru window a rolled up $10 bill filled with a white powder later determined to be fentanyl, authorities said.

The Oxford Police Department was contacted by a restaurant concerning a customer who had nodded off in the drive-through lane. The driver, later identified as Erric Stack, 42, of Norway, gave the employee a rolled up $10 bill to pay for his order, police said.

Stack was given his order and left the premises.

When the employee unrolled the bill, a white powder fell onto the counter and the employee’s hands. The powder was tested by authorities and identified as fentanyl.

Shortly after, the employee who received the rolled-up bill began feeling ill and was checked for fentanyl exposure by rescue personnel, but was determined to have no lasting effects, according to authorities.

Stack was later located and arrested on charges for aggravated assault, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon/substance, and possession of a schedule w drug.

Stack was a taken to the Oxford County Jail and held on $1,000 bail.
