The committee for the 100th anniversary celebration of Sacred Heart Church in Auburn recently held its first meeting.
Members discussed proposed events to happen throughout this celebratory year, including the opening Mass, scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22 and presided by Bishop Robert Deeley.
Planned events include a cabaret show scheduled for Saturday, April 15, the Vatican Exhibit of the Eucharistic Miracles of the World during Corpus Christi weekend June 9-11; and a parish picnic this summer.
