LEWISTON — Lewiston Fire Chief Paul LeClair announces the promotion of Private Kevin Bergeron to the rank of lieutenant for the Lewiston Fire Department.

Bergeron started his career as a firefighter in 1999 and has served numerous assignments within the department. His new assignment as lieutenant will be at the Main Street Station, Engine No. 5.

Bergeron is a graduate of Southern Maine Community College with an associate degree in fire science and is also Firefighter I and II certified. He is a member of the Lewiston Fire Department’s Honor Guard and serves on the department’s recognition committee.

He lives in Lewiston with his wife and their two sons.
