Coach: Jon Blaisdell (first season)
Last year’s record: 6-6-2, lost in Western C quarterfinal
Returning players: Seniors — Alexi Deering (F), Samantha Hutchinson (FB); Juniors — Emily Acritelli (FB), Lindsey Allen (FB), Alison Chicoine-Bates (FB), Andrea Chicoine-Bates (MF), Casidee Couture (F), Natashia Couture (FB), Tabitha Tibbetts (FB); Sophomores — Hayley Doyon (MF), Brittany Carrier (MF), Brianna Martin (MF).
Promising newcomers: Freshmen — Vanese Barnes (F), Megan Duval (F), Amia Pelletier (MF), Emily Keene (G/MF), Tara Williams (G/MF).
Outlook: Jay and Livermore Falls combine again in girls’ soccer. The two schools formed a cooperative program a few years ago and fielded a playoff team. Jay went at it alone last year with Blaisdell as coach. Deering scored 22 goals for that team and was an all-MVC player. The Phoenix had 28 girls out for the team, giving the squad plenty of depth.
Coach’s comment: “The girs have a great attitude and our team chemistry is awesome. Our program is still in its infancy but is steadily growing. Our incoming player’s skill continue to improve thanks to our coaching staff in junior high. We expect to steadily improve throughout the season as the girls get used to playing together.” Coach Jon Blaisdell.
