LIVERMORE FALLS — A local man was being held Wednesday morning at Androscoggin County Jail on $1,500 cash bail, suspected of pulling a knife on an Otis Street man Tuesday night.
Donald Michaud, 40, of Livermore Falls, was arrested on charges of felony burglary and threatening with a dangerous weapon, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.
An Otis Street man had heard banging early Sunday morning and went out to see what was going on. He reported to police that he saw a man leaving the porch of an adjacent trailer he owns that is used for storage, Steward said.
The victim told police the man pulled a knife on him before running behind a neighbor’s house, Steward said. The victim also told police the man had bolt cutters with him.
Michaud apparently made threats toward the owner of the trailer, Steward said.
Michaud had tried to get into the man’s storage trailer to try and steal prescription medication, Steward said.
Michaud was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
