LEWISTON — This year’s Lewiston-Auburn Greek Festival will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, and continue from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday on the grounds of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 155 Hogan Road.

The widest variety of foods to date await festival goers at the area’s last major ethnic festival for 2011. Co-chairmen Duke Goranites and David Rivet say that this year’s festival will be the best yet with expanded sheltered seating and more capacity for on-site parking.

Among the festivals attractions is a complete assortment of Greek and other ethnic foods and pastries, a Greek Taverna, Greek market, artifacts, a bazaar, church tours and activities for the kids.

Greek Dancing to live music will highlight Friday and Saturday evenings.

Greek Dancing lessons are free, and so is admission throughout the festival.
