LEWISTON — The 14th season of speakers for the Great Falls Forum has been scheduled as follows. All forum events take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the Lewiston Public Library’s Callahan Hall. They are free, open to all and no registration is required.
Thursday, Sept. 15: Major General Bill Libby, adjutant general, Maine National Guard, and first lady Ann LePage, speaking on “Maine’s Military Families: Their Needs and Resources.”
Thursday, Oct. 13: The Beehive Collective, an art-activist organization based in Machias, speaking on “The True Cost of Coal.”
Thursday, Nov. 17: Professor Ali Mohamed Aden, director of the Centre for Democracy and Political Reconciliation in Somalia, speaking on “Establishing a Credible Government in Somalia.”
Thursday, Jan. 19: Mark B. Lapping, executive director of the Muskie School of Public Service, University of Southern Maine, speaking on “Understanding Maine’s Food System: Life at the End of the Pipeline.”

Thursday, March 15: Kathie Leonard, president/CEO of Auburn Manufacturing, and Gene Geiger, CEO of Geiger, speaking on “What’s a Future Forum, and What’s It Doing in L/A?”
Thursday, April 19: Edward J. Rielly, professor of English at St. Joseph’s College of Maine, speaking on “Baseball: The Writer’s Sport.”
Thursday, May 17: Beth Morrison, creative producer at Beth Morrison Projects, speaking on “Maine to New York — Local Girl Sets Up Shop in the Big Apple’s Arts Scene.”
