Michelle J. Ouellette

SCARBOROUGH – Michelle J. Ouellette, 56, of Greene, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Sept. 15, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. Michelle was born on June 7, 1967, in Lewiston, to Jackie Gahagan and the late Matty Gahagan. Growing up Michelle loved hockey, dancing , cheering as well as Girl Scouts and becoming a big sister.

On April 23, 1994, she married the love of her life Robert Ouellette, they went on to adopt two perfect children the late Riley Ouellette and Mattie Ouellette. Michelle was always meant to be a mother, she loved her children fiercely and unconditionally.

Michelle worked for many years at Edward’s restaurant and Mac’s Grill while raising and advocating for her children, later in life she became a recovery coach at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston Maine.

Michelle is survived by her husband Robert Ouellette, daughter Mattie Ouellette, mother Jackie Gahagan, brother Michael Gahagan, Godfather Roland Soucy, in-laws Mark and Wanda Ouellette, nephew Brandon and Kaylee Ouellette and family, nephew Wesley and Karissa Ouellette and family, niece Erica and Shawn Parker and family, Jen Ouellette and Adam Cormier as well as many Aunts Uncles and cousins.

Michelle was predeceased by her father Matty Gahagan, her son Riley Ouellette, her godmother Patricia Soucy, her in-laws Ronald and Caroline Ouellette and her sister-in-law Donna Ouellette as well as many other beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

The positive impact Michelle had on the world and everyone that was lucky enough to have met her will live on forever like the love we all hold close in our heart for her. To close in Michelle’s words “I’m at peace because I’ll finally be with my bub” Dad (her beloved son Riley and my Dad).

Funeral services honoring Michelle’s life will be celebrated 1 p.m., Saturday, September 23, at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to visit two hours prior to the service at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston.
