LEWISTON — Author Martha Stevens-David of Minot recently published book, “Autobiography of a Simple Soul,” on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Lewiston Public Library.

The book is a collection of short stories about growing up in the small Aroostook County town of Ashland.

Wanting to be a writer since age 9, she has worked on her short story collection for nearly 30 years and it was only after retiring from the Bates College Museum of Art in 2008 that she began sharing her work. She also writes children’s stories and poetry.

Her talk will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Couture conference room.
