LEWISTON — The metal band Five Finger Death Punch will headline a Dec. 3, concert at the Colisee. Also performing will be All That Remains, Hatebreed and Rev Theory..
Out of the gate, Five Finger Death Punch’s new single, “Under and Over It,” was the most-added song on the Active Rock Radio charts (BDS/MediaBase) in its first week and the No. 1 best-selling song on the iTunes Rock chart. The single also hit No. 1 on Amazonmp3.com’s hard rock/ metal charts.
The single was released on iTunes, Amazon and other online retailers and instantly shot up to the top spot. The track burst into the No. 33 spot on the overall top songs iTunes chart, making it the only hard rock/metal song in the Top 40 in that current week.
“Under the Over It” is the first single from 5FDP’s forthcoming album, “American Capitalist,” releasing on Oct. 11. The new album was recorded at The Hideout in Las Vegas, with producer Kevin Churko.
Last week, Five Finger Death Punch unveiled the “Under the Over It” video, which ARTISTdirect called, “the video of the year.” The satirical video was directed by noted film director Ethan Maniquis (co-director of “Machete”) and shot at Gavin Maloof’s mansion in Las Vegas.
Five Finger Death Punch is featured on the cover of the September 2011 issue of Revolver Magazine, appeared on the cover of the January 2010 issue of Metal Hammer Magazine, and are the recipients of the 2010 Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards for Best Breakthrough Band and Best Shredder. In 2009, the band won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Artist and were a Kerrang! Awards nominee as well. The band has been featured in Kerrang!, Rocksound, Guitar World, Guitar Edge, Decibel, Billboard, and Rolling Stone Magazine, as well as in USA Today.
