LOVELL — On Sunday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Lovell Historical Society will be presenting a special summer event. During the day, exhibitors will be on hand displaying antiques, jewelry, paintings, and more. Artist Ayn Male will have an exhibition of her paintings. At 11 a.m. there will be a live auction conducted by Barry Gilman. From 12 to 2 p.m., Just Be-cause will be performing. There will be grilled foods, sandwiches, beverages, and dessert items, including ice cream, available.

The live auction will begin at 11 a.m. Currently, the items to be auctioned include a 1997 Lund Fishing Boat; a one-week stay at Gilmore Camps on Kezar Lake in 2025; 100 Gallons of Heating Oil from Lake Region Energy; a 1968 9ft. Boston Whaler; Dinner for 4 at the Lodge at Pleasant Point; Lake Kezar Country Club Golf Certificates; Dinner for 4 at the Oxford House; “Lovell Collection” of Books & Puzzles; 2 tickets to Ebenezer’s sold-out Belgian Beer Dinner on August 22; 1968 Classic Alcort Sunfish; Oil Painting by Ayn Male of Rosie’s; Dinner for 4 at Severance Lodge Club; Kezar Lake Marina’s Day Rental of a Pontoon Boat (includes full tank of gas); Wood Spirit Carving by Rod Iron Designs; “Classic Cleat Wave” Serving Board with Craft Artisan Baking Co. Refreshments; 1992 Glassport Bowrider; and 1 Cord of Seasoned Firewood from Khiel Logging.

If you are unable to attend and would like to bid on an item, just let the Society know. They will find someone to bid for you, with a “not to exceed” limit.
Finally, there are six $200 gift certificates for local businesses being raffled. They are for: The Center Lovell Market; Fryeburg Kitchen; Harvest Gold Gallery; Lovell Hardware; Old Saco Inn; and Wentworth’s 925 Auto. A book of tickets is priced at $5 for six tickets or $1 per ticket. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the event and the drawing will be held at 1 p.m.
