The Norway Opera House is raising a symbolic $1.78 million to match the $1.78 million in CDS funds secured by Norway Downtown in March of this year. The funds secured by Norway Downtown will be utilized to replace the roof, repair roof trusses, and restore the building’s back wall. The Norway Opera House is directing fundraising dollars toward the interior of the building as they work to open the performance space to the community once again.
This concert is the second fundraising event hosted by the Norway Opera House this summer. Their next event will be the annual Street Dance in Longley Square on August 24, from 5 to 10 p.m. The Norway Opera House would like to thank all the event sponsors for this season including Oxford Hotel and Casino, and Cafe Nomad.
