AUBURN — A Lewiston man was charged Tuesday with selling methamphetamine and fentanyl.
An Androscoggin County grand jury indicted Lucas Messer, 40, on two charges of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.
Each felony is punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
Lucas Messer was arrested in August after Lewiston police officers, joined by agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and a K-9 team from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, searched a home on College Street in Lewiston, a place they had searched four times over the course of nine months.
Investigators said 222 grams of methamphetamine, 15 grams of crack cocaine, 22 grams of fentanyl and six oxycodone pills were seized during the search.
Messer was one of five people arrested in the raid.
He had been arrested in July at that location and charged with trafficking fentanyl.
In December, police arrested eight people at the house, at College and Horton streets. A total of 23 people have been arrested there since late 2023, police said.
Messer is being held at Androscoggin County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail. He had previously posted $5,000 cash bail.
