In collaboration with FRONTLINE (PBS) and Maine Public, the Portland Press Herald and the Lewiston Sun Journal joined a panel of reporters who covered the Lewiston mass shooting and investigated its aftermath.
The event was moderated by Mark Simpson, Maine Public’s director of news and public affairs, and panelists included Steve Mistler and Patty Wight from Maine Public, John Terhune of the Press Herald, and Steve Collins from the Sun Journal.
This event is part of an ongoing collaboration with Portland Press Herald and Maine Public that includes an upcoming documentary. It is supported through FRONTLINE’s Local Journalism Initiative, which is funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. You can read the full series here.
