CHESTERVILLE — A variety of costumed characters on Thursday, Oct. 31, made their way to the Dave Archer Town Hall on Dutch Gap Road in Chesterville for the annual Trunk or Treat held from 4-6 p.m.

The event was hosted by North Chesterville Extension Homemakers, with some members gathering on Oct. 25 to fill 120 decorated baggies with candy, according to the group’s Facebook page. Apples and other treats were also available on Thursday, it noted.

A cat, cow, Spiderman, an angel and a crewmate from the online multiplayer science-fiction/social deduction murder mystery game Among Us! were among the guests making their way from car to car while picking up their treats.

Linda Gramlich, homemaker member said it had been busy with 50 visitors so far.
The homemakers got in on the fun with some of those passing out treats dressed as a witch and an evil chainsaw operator. Several of the cars were also decorated with skeletons, purple lanterns, spider webs or witches’ cauldrons.

On Friday, Gramlich said 105 kids visited Thursday. “I was really impressed,” she noted. “A lot of the parents came dressed in costumes as well as the children.”
