RUMFORD — Rumford Hospital recently honored 52 employees for 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10 and five years of service. Honorees and guests were welcomed by hospital president David Frum who noted that the total years of service represented totaled 755.

Charlene Burgi, R.N., of Andover, an ICU nurse, and Jane Wardwell of Albany, a registered dietitian, were honored for 40 years of service to the hospital and the River Valley community.

Anne Dolloff, R.N., of Mexico, discharge planner; Gale Hill of Turner, manager of medical imaging and respiratory therapy; Andrea Richard of Rumford, food service; and Diane York of Bryant Pond, manager of medical/surgical and ICU, were honored for 35 years.

Honored for 30 years were Marie Charleston, R.N., of Rumford, oncology; Joanne Lapointe of Peru, oncology secretary; Mary MacDonald, CNA, of Rumford, emergency department; Patty Perry, R.N., of Rumford, oncology; and Lisa Swett of Mexico, laboratory.

The 25 year honorees were Melissa Litalien of Peru, central supply; Philip Tremblay of Jay, respiratory therapy; and Wanda Cote of Rumford, medical records.

Honored for 20 years were Tami Andrews of Rumford, laboratory; Kelly Arsenault of Rumford, surgical services; Doug West of Monmouth, facilities manager; and Mindy Worthley of Roxbury, social services.

For 15 years of service, Kim Akers, R.N., of Rumford, surgical services; Carol Gould, R.N., of Bethel, nursing supervisor; Pam Sicotte of Mexico, River Valley Internal Medicine; and Kim Swasey of Andover, physical therapist, were honored.

Ten-year honorees were Kay Abbott of Dixfield, April Farnum of Rumford, Sis Haynes of Mexico and Anna Kelley of Rumford.

River Valley Internal Medicine became a department of the hospital five years ago, resulting in a larger number of five-year honorees than in the past. Those celebrating five years of service were Dr. Albert Aniel, Alisa Belskis, Sue Brown, Hope Calderwood, Dr. Sean Callender, Becky Cote, Dr. Thomas DeLuca, Serena Flagg, Carol Holtzman, Nancy Hotham, Leslie Ladd, Pamela Luce, Barbara MacGregor, Nancy Milledge, Lorraine Oldham, Karen Phelps, Charlene Pidacks, Tina Radcliffe, Beth Ring, Debra Shurtleff, Stephanie Sterlings, Kystal Tastan, Roxanne Thomas, Philippa True, Teresa Umbro and August Weston.
