Mountain Valley scored the go-ahead off an error in the bottom of the fourth, then held on for a 2-1 baseball win over St. Dom’s on Monday in Rumford.

Jayden Richard-Gardner’s RBI double for Mountain Valley (3-3) in the bottom of the second tied the game at 1-1. Josh Pollis also had a double. Falcons pitcher Tyler Warren, who hit two singles, went seven innings on the mount, recording seven strikeouts and allowing only three hits to earn the win.

Nolan Cavers’ RBI double put St. Dom’s up 1-0 in the first inning. Ben Dumais pitched six innings for the Saints (2-3),  giving up only one earned run and striking out six.

CONY 11, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Trenton Hayward smacked a triple to lead the Rams (4-1) to a victory over the Mustangs (2-2) in Monmouth.

Max Tibbetts struck out five batters to earn the win.

Levi Laverdiere had a hit for Monmouth Academy.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 9, LEAVITT 3: The Patriots (3-3) scored five runs in the top of the first on their way to a win over the Hornets (2-3) in Turner.

Cole Thibodeau doubled for Gray-New Gloucester. Jacob Mulry had three hits, while Kaiden Chase and Carter Davis each had two hits and two RBI. Davis, Seth Espline and Griffin Richmond each had two singles.

Espling pitched six innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out five and walking two.

Morgan Folsom had two doubles and an RBI for Leavitt. Nick Mellen added two singles.

OXFORD HILLS 2, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: The Vikings (2-4) scored on a balk in the top of the eighth inning to beat the Raiders (1-4) in Fryeburg.

Fryeburg took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI double by Michael Malia. Oxford Hills tied it an RBI double by Carter Holbrook in the fourth.

GREELY 5, EDWARD LITTLE 2: Keeler Vogt pitched a complete game with 13 strikeouts and also hit an RBI single as the Rangers (6-0) defeated the Red Eddies (1-4) in Cumberland.

Kyle Soule drove in the go-ahead run on a single during a three-run fourth inning. Owen Piesik had two hits for Greely.

Max Nelson and TJ Kramarz each had two hits and an RBI for Edward Little.

LAKE REGION 7, POLAND 3: Dylan Blair drove in four runs on two hits as the Lakers (4-1) downed Poland (2-4) at Naples.

Blair singled in two runs during a thee-run first inning, then two more during a four-run fifth.

Brock Gibbons struck out 10 over five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk.

LEWISTON 10, OAK HILL 0: Lonnie Thomas pitched a two-hit shutout and led the Blue Devils (3-3) at the plate in their win over the Raiders (1-3) in Wales.

Thomas struck out five and walked one batter in seven innings. He also drove in three runs on two hits and scored twice. Spencer Chartier and Grady Rowles each doubled for the Blue Devils, and Jeffrey Randall, Michael Caron and Chartier had an RBI apiece.

Braden Dubuc and Joseph Greenwood had Oak Hill’s hits. Logan Langlois, Kaleb Langlois and Dubuc combined to strike out eight Lewiston batters.

SOFTBALL

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 10, ST. DOMINIC 9: Madison Blanchard and Madisyn McLean hit RBI singles in the sixth inning to complete the Falcons’ (5-1) rally from a seven-run deficit to beat the Saints (3-2) in Rumford.

St. Dominic scored seven times in the second inning to take an 8-1 lead. Mountain Valley answered with three runs in the third, two in the second and one each in the fourth and fifth to tie the game at 8-8. The Saints went up again in the top of the sixth on an RBI by Sophia Franciose.

McLean had four hits, an RBI and scored twice for Mountain Valley. Layce Boucher added two hits, an RBI and a run, while Hayden Chase drove in three runs.

Franciose finished with three hits and three RBI for St. Dominic. Chloe Croteau added three hits and scored twice, and Leah Shannon had two hits.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 17, WATERVILLE 1: Rylee Turner had a double, a triple, three RBI and scored twice as the Phoenix (2-2) beat the Panthers (0-3) in a game shortened by the mercy rule in Waterville.

Turner also earned the win, allowing one run on two hits, while striking out two and walking none in three innings in the circle.

Devin Bryant also had two hits and Malory Clark drove in a pair of runs for Spruce Mountain.

Madison Wilson and Jayda Dunn each had a single for Waterville.

LAKE REGION 10, POLAND 2: Vylet Robbins went 2 for 2 and drove in four runs to lead the Lakers (3-2) past the Knights (1-5) at Naples.

Lake Region opened up a 5-0 lead through two innings, then responded after Poland scored twice, tacking on three runs in the fifth and two in the sixth.

Margo Tremblay added two hits and two RBI for the Lakers. Olivia Rioux had three hits and drove in both runs for Poland.

LISBON 11, WINSLOW 0: Aubriana Bright had three hits, including two doubles, drove in two runs and scored twice as the Greyhounds (5-0) beat the Black Raiders (2-3) in a five-inning game in Winslow.

Mackenzie Eaton pitched five no-hit innings, striking out eight and walking one for Lisbon.

Ava Kottman added two doubles and an RBI, and Sophia Bowie also doubled for the Greyhounds. Brynn Chase and Brooke Norman each added two hits.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 8, OXFORD HILLS 5: Azalea Grant and Kara Dutton each had two-run singles in the fourth inning as the Raiders (2-3) scored five times to snap a tie and went on to beat the Vikings (4-2) in Fryeburg.

Presli Knapp pitched a complete game for Fryeburg.

Atalie Campbell had three hits for Oxford Hills.

GREELY 2, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Katie Wallace pitched a two-hitter with three strikeouts and the Rangers (6-1) defeated the Red Eddies (3-1) in Cumberland.

Wallace was 3 for 3 at the plate and scored a run for the Rangers. Quinn Simpson went 2 for 2 and drove in both runs.

Chloe LeBlanc of Edward Little allowed eight hits and struck out five.

OAK HILL 5, LEWISTON 4: Saryn Blais had two RBI in the Raiders’ (2-2) win over the Blue Devils (2-4) in Wales.

Carlee Austin singled, doubled and drove in a run for Oak Hill. Olivia French had two hits and Izzy Whitaker notched a triple. Whitaker pitched for the Raiders and allowed four runs on six hits while striking out seven batters.

Lewiston’s Isabelle Enos doubled and had two RBIs, and Aubrey Wood had a double and a RBI.

HALL-DALE 8, DIRIGO 5: The Bulldogs (4-0) rallied for six runs in the sixth innings to beat the Cougars (0-3) in Dixfield.

Winning pitcher Lucy Gray led Hall-Dale with three hits. Mira Skehan had a single and a double.

Aleiah Ward got a double among her two hits for Dirigo. Alyssa Ellis and Emma Witas also rapped two hits each.

GIRLS LACROSSE

WESTBROOK 12, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 9: Lyla Dunphe’s five goals fueled the Blue Blazes (3-3) past the 26ers (0-5) in Gray.

Kylie Young added three goals for Westbrook, Hattie Clark had two and Maeve Tardif and Sydney Seavey scored one apiece.

Gray-New Gloucester/Poland’s Amelia Foster scored five goals and reached 100 for her career. Abbie Packard and Sam Poulin scored two goals apiece and Hailey Carson had one.
