DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Drop-in Center at 121 Mill St. in Auburn (formerly Pleasant St. Drop-in Center) needs volunteers and donations for its big Clothing Giveaway on Sunday, May 18, from noon to 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend this giveaway put on by the Auburn Age Friendly Committee.

Volunteers are needed Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m. to set up.

Donations of gently used clean clothing can be left at The Senior Center at Pettengill Park from Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. They can also be left outside the glass doors after hours. For more information, contact Ward 5 City Councilor Leroy Walker at 577-2694. — Leroy, Auburn

The Drop-in Center is a low-barrier resource center that welcomes the unhoused and strives to build a safe community that welcomes everyone.

They serve a light breakfast and a full lunch Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Toiletries, clothing, food, and survival gear are offered to the guests.

Volunteers provide all services. The surrounding communities support the program through donations of many kinds. The Center is always in need of donations and volunteers. For updates, go to https://www.facebook.com/groups/716529479663868.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Danville Junction Grange at 15 Grange St. in Auburn is sponsoring an Indoor/Outdoor Yard and Craft Sale on Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

As usual, we will have a baked goods table with lots of homemade goodies, a plant table, and a white elephant table with lots of treasures that you can’t live without! There will also be raffles for you to take the chance to take on.

We look forward to seeing all our friends and neighbors who have been loyal supporters for many years, as well as new people we have yet to meet.

In case the sale is canceled because of rain, you will still be able to attend our upcoming July event.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Broadview Memorial Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at the cemetery at 379 East Ave. in Lewiston, on Sunday, June 1, at 1 p.m.
