Lewiston residents Nicole Seger, right, gets a hand from Cheryl Cyr while building a Halloween luminary at the Auburn Public Library on Thursday. Marty Gagnon, head of adult services, and volunteer Maureen Goff helped adults and children make sidewalk lights to safely lead trick-or-treaters up to one’s doorstep. Seger, 32, is a participant in the Life Center at John F. Murphy Homes, a day program for young adults with mental retardation. Cyr is a staff member at the Life Center.
Gracie Raymond, 5, of Auburn used a hammer and nail to make her pumpkin luminary.
