DEAR SUN SPOTS: Crafters and vendors are needed for The Prince of Peace Christmas Craft Fair coming to Holy Family Church Hall, 607 Sabattus St., in Lewiston on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The cost for renting a 6-foot table is $25, $30 for an 8-foot table, and $40 for a 6- by 8-foot space with a table included. Please contact me for more information at [email protected]— Angela, no town

ANSWER: This is a lovely holiday fair that I highly recommend attending. Thank you for your hard work in keeping it going. Let me know if you’re looking for specific crafters and vendors as the date gets closer and I’ll help you spread the word.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: A strange request here, and where else to turn to but Sun Spots?

I have a theatre lighting system that I would like to donate to a nonprofit organization, ideally one that works with children. It would be good for a school, for example.

The system includes many lighting instruments (fresnels and ellipsoidals) and a two-scene preset control panel with standard Edison plugs that functions with 2,110 circuits. The system is not new, but certainly serviceable.

If there is an organization that could make use of the system, please drop me a line at [email protected], and tell me about how the system would be used. Sun Spots, thank you for all your help over the years. — No name, no town

ANSWER: I would think that a school or local theater group would love to take this off your hands. Thank you for your generosity and let us know what happens!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Years ago, my wife was given a homemade Christmas creche made by a good friend. When not on display during the off-season, it was kept in a box labeled, “Don’t place anything heavy on top.”

This was stored in a closet, and at some point, I carelessly put a heavy box on it. The creche was ruined and now I’m looking to have it replaced and would appreciate suggestions for a creative, artsy person who could replicate it. The original creche was made of twigs, etc. Any ideas would be appreciated. — David, Auburn

ANSWER: Let’s put this out into Sun Spots Land and see what happens. As fairs pop up during the summer and fall months, take the time to scout out a few in your area as well. You may find the perfect artist/crafter to meet your needs.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In the Rolodex, do you have reliable carpenters who could build us a set of five steps that includes a platform? I have been searching but have found nothing. Your help would be appreciated. If anyone knows of someone or if you are a carpenter who can complete this project for us, please call 333-7431 and leave a message. — No name, no town

ANSWER: I don’t have a name in my Rolodex specifically for this type of project, so I’m calling on Sun Spotters to help us out.
