ANSWER: Governor’s is a fabulous spot for your mini reunion. I know I’ve said this before but I would love to be “fly on the wall” so I could eavesdrop on your conversations. I’m sure you all have so many memories to share plus catching up on one another’s adventures. Have fun!

ANSWER: There is an urgent need for Type O blood. Also, if you’re unable to give blood, you can make a financial contribution or see if they need volunteers. There’s always a way to help if you’re willing.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: On July 8, I went to the Auburn Mall to walk and noticed that the book store is closed. Do you know what the name of the store was? I liked going there to look around and now I will miss it. The sign is gone but there were a few people in there finishing packing everything up. Thank you for always being so helpful. — No name, Lewiston
ANSWER: Don’t be sad! Books-A-Million is in the process of moving to a larger space at 730 Center St., where The Sports Authority was. My understanding is that they will be opening soon.
Readers, while I’m thinking of it, tell me where your favorite book stores and libraries are in Maine. It will help all the bookworms in Sun Spots Land, and if you have a book to recommend, I want to know about it.
Just yesterday, I stopped in at the beautiful Gardiner Public Library at 152 Water St. and a longtime volunteer there recommended, “How to Read a Book: A Novel” by Maine author Monica Wood. This helpful volunteer, a retired school librarian, practically swooned when she was talking about it. I can’t wait to read it!
