ANSWER: This sounds like a fantastic sale and if it’s anything like other WLU events, it’s going to be a not-to-be-missed occasion. If you’re looking for something to do, some way to help, or are curious about something and need answers, always remember to check out Sun Spots.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Auburn Public Library is working on a strategic plan to set priorities for the next three to five years. Citizen input is very important to help the library understand what the community likes about us and where new ideas should be considered.

Here is the survey link: https://forms.gle/ocLbbzX7JfNfajVC6. It is open until Sept. 7. It’s helpful to hear from library users as well as those who are not familiar with what the library offers. Thank you for sharing! — Rebecca, Auburn

ANSWER: Whether you’re a patron or someone who lives in the community and hasn’t had a chance to check things out at this gorgeous library, those involved are requesting your feedback. Although I don’t reside in Auburn, I’ve visited this library on a few occasions and it is a gem. The community is so fortunate to have it and I hope you’ll all take the time to share your input.

If you’re thinking of visiting for the first time, the library is in a lovely building at 49 Spring St. and is open Mondays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Visit https://www.auburnpubliclibrary.org/ to learn what the library offers. Libraries are not just about books — prepare to be amazed!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thank you for your help in publicizing the Maine Franco-American Genealogical Society Garage Sale held Aug. 15  and 16.  We also want to thank all the people who stopped to browse and purchase items. In the time that we ran the sale, we took in over $1,900. That is a fantastic return for our small organization.

We appreciate your participation and hope that many of you will investigate MFGS further. It is an excellent resource for genealogists, both amateur and professional. — The MFGS Garage Sale Committee, no town

ANSWER: I’m very pleased all went well for you. I really appreciate knowing the outcome and that Sun Spots was helpful. That’s what I’m here for!
