Abby McCarty scored two of Mt. Abram’s five second-half goals as the Roadrunners charged their way to a 5-1 win over Oak Hill in a Mountain Valley Conference girls soccer game Tuesday in Wales.

Celia Rose, Evelyn Pepin and Jenna Osgood also found the back of the net for Mt. Abram (5-1-1). Goalie Edna Bilodeau made seven saves.

Audrey Custer scored in the first half for Oak Hill (1-4-2). Grace Lough stopped 16 shots.

WINTHROP 8, LISBON 0: Aida Wolf scored three goals and chipped in two assists as the Ramblers (3-4-1) defeated the Greyhounds (0-7) in Winthrop.

Reece Tyler scored twice, and Harper Stasulis, Abby St. Clair and Ellie Barrett each added a goal. Chloe Soucy was credited with two assists and Bella Baehr recorded one.

BUCKFIELD 1, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Daisy Vining scored in the second half to lift the Bucks (5-0) to victory over the Seagulls (1-4) at Buckfield.

Buckfield goalie Addison Morris turned aside four shots to earn a shutout. Vanessa Alley-Thayer made 10 saves for Old Orchard Beach.

POLAND 3, WAYNFLETE 0: Phoebe Paradis recorded a goal and an assist to lead the Knights (6-1) to victory over the Flyers (2-5) in Poland.

Davis Hill and Leksi Langevin also scored for the Knights.

Poland’s Payton Blake and Waynflete’s Rachel Yordon each made six saves.

MESSALONSKEE 2, LEWISTON 1: Lauren Wolfe, a freshman, converted a cross from Amelia Spry in overtime for her first varsity goal, lifting the Eagles (3-2) over the Blue Devils (1-6) in Oakland.

Messalonskee’s Elsie Spear scored in the first half, assisted by Cailyn Henning. Ella Beaudoin tied it on a breakaway with just over 10 minutes remaining in regulation.

Kiana Carrier, the winning keeper, made three saves. Lewiston’s Emily Desrosiers stopped seven shots.

YARMOUTH 4, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Fiona John scored in each half as the Clippers (5-1) defeated the Patriots (1-4-1) in Yarmouth.

The Clippers led 3-0 at halftime with the help of an own goal and a Lilah Pernal goal.
Rory Tompkins had two assists. Lauren Jabar set up John’s first goal.

Mallory Hardiman made eight saves for the Patriots.

BOYS SOCCER

MT. BLUE 2, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 1: Lincoln Tierney scored the go-ahead goal with 20 minutes left to give the Cougars (6-1) a win over the Broncos (1-3-1) in Farmington.

Hampden took the lead four minutes into the game when Lucas Fachiol scored. Nate Zelinger tied it for Mt. Blue with an assist from Carlos Padin.

Goalie Dillan Savage made eight saves for Hampden. Kooper Keller had four saves for Mt. Blue.

FIELD HOCKEY

CAMDEN HILLS 3, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Ella Capetta scored twice, and the Windjammers (2-3) beat the Red Eddies (2-3) in Camden.

Alison Sylvester also scored for Camden Hills, which outshot Edward Little 13-4.

Windjammers goalie Abby Strout stopped four shots in the shutout. Arabella Harris had 10 saves for Edward Little.
