WEST FORKS, Maine (AP) — Maine officials say a tracker has found the body of a woman who went missing on Sunday.
A retired game warden hired by the family found the body of 52-year-old Donna Gail Bulmer on Thursday after game wardens ended a three-day effort.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said Bulmer’s body was found off a snowmobile trail about three-quarters of a mile away from her home. He says Bulmer, a town selectwoman, had been despondent and wandered off. There’s no indication anyone else was involved in her death.
Maine game wardens used their own dogs, as well as an airplane, in the search starting Monday.
