DEAR SUN SPOTS: Nezinscot Lodge at 32 Weston Road in Turner will hold its Community Hunters Breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 4:30-7:30 a.m.

This traditional breakfast is not only for hunters, but also for members and families in the community. The event is free of charge but donations will be accepted. — Dave, Turner

ANSWER: This happens tomorrow! Get to bed early this evening so you can rise up early for the big day. Enjoy the breakfast and may you all be safe as you join the hunt. Many thanks to all the organizers who participate in this event year after year.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Like many others, I’m a daily reader of your column. I would like to invite people to the First Universalist Church of West Paris at 208 Main St./Route 219 on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. for a concert led by composer/guitarist Jim Scott. He knew and collaborated with Pete Seeger on many projects, and is well-known as guitarist for the Paul Winter Consort. A donation of $15-20 is suggested.

Come sing along with Jim at this moving tribute to Pete Seeger. For info call 674-2143. — Marta, West Paris

ANSWER: This sounds like a soothing way to spend an autumn afternoon.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Spaghetti Benefit Dinner held Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Boofy Quimby Hall for Liana Henault of Turner was a great success.

Thanks to all our donors for their generous donations of food and/or raffle basket items. We appreciate all those who attended the dinner to show your support for Liana, who is fighting a rare cancer called PEComa.

We presented Liana with a check for all the proceeds raised and she was overjoyed. This will help immensely with her medical and travel expenses while in Boston.

If you were unable to attend and would still like to donate, go to GoFundMe.com and search, “Help Liana Fight A Rare and Aggressive Cancer.” We sincerely thank you all. — Friends with Heart, Turner

ANSWER: I’m so glad this fundraiser was a success. We’ll continue to keep Liana in our thoughts and please keep us posted on her progress.
