As we have all heard, many of our local neighbors are temporarily losing their SNAP benefits.
Our food pantries are already struggling to keep up with the increased demand. For those living in the Bethel area who want to help, one way of doing so is to donate either time, money or nonperishable items to the local food pantry.
The Bethel-area food pantry is located across from Telstar High School, at 279 Walkers Mill Road in Bethel. It is open from 9-11 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Donations of nonperishable items can be dropped off at those times.
Those who want to volunteer should email [email protected]. To make a financial donation, go to bethelareafoodpantry.org/donations.
