Senior quarterback Jacob Feith threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for a score as Winthrop/Monmouth/Hall-Dale dispatched Oak Hill 28-13 in a Class D South football semifinal Friday in Winthrop.

The top-seeded Ramblers (9-0) advance to face sixth-seeded Morse (6-6) in the regional final next week. The Shipbuilders knocked off No. 2 Dirigo 28-22 on Friday.

Winthrop opened the scoring with Feith’s first TD pass, a 17-yard completion to Brody Adams on third-and-goal from the 17 with a couple minutes left in the first quarter.

Fourth-seeded Oak Hill (6-4) tied the game on Colton Burnham’s 3-yard TD run a couple minutes into the second quarter, but the Ramblers responded and took a 13-7 lead with a 15-yard Ross Fichthorn touchdown run that was set up by a long completion from Feith to Adams.

Winthrop relied heavily on its running game, as usual, but went to the air again for its third score. On fourth-and-9, Feith found Ben Porter in the end zone for a 29-yard touchdown pass midway through the third quarter.

Feith scored Winthrop’s final TD on a fourth-down QB sneak from the 1 to give the Ramblers a 28-7 lead with 9:48 left in the game.
