MONMOUTH — Voters in Monmouth approved all four town referendums on the ballot.

Elected officials can now be recalled with a simple majority vote in place of a two-thirds majority vote. The measure passed 945-242.

The town also voted 978-223 to accept a $400,000 grant from the Communities for Maine’s Future program. The money will be used to complete renovations and upgrades to the former Monmouth Grange Hall.

And a referendum amending the Comprehensive Development Ordinance to allow 90 days instead of 30 to record a subdivision plan with the Kennebec County Registry of Deeds passed 971-243.

Also, voters approved adding a new subsection to the Shoreland Zoning Ordinance that would allow a 25-foot setback under certain circumstances. The measure passed 847-372.

In statewide referendums, voters backed same-day registration by approving Question 1 by a tally of 744-504.

Question 2 for racinos in Biddeford and Washington County passed 641-601.

But Question 3, which would allow a casino in Lewiston, was defeated 566-678.

The constitutional amendment on redistricting passed 638-545.
