The Dixfield Town Office cupola recently received a face-lift. Erik Designs LLC of Rumford designed a town emblem that was installed on the cupola this month. The emblem replaces a town clock that had been part of the original town office, which was built in 1961. Charlotte Collins, town treasurer, said the clock had stopped working a few years back and the town had been looking for something to replace the empty space. The emblem is also lit at night by spotlights.
