The University of Maine men’s basketball team stayed winless as Gavin Doty scored 17 points and Justice Shoats in Siena’s 64-60 win on Sunday in Washington, D.C.
Maine (0-9) has suffered five single-digit losses this season.
The Black Bears trailed by as many as 15 points in the second half, but cut the deficit to four points with a little over six minutes to go. Maine made it one-point game with 25 seconds left, but Siena (7-2) made three straight free throws to seal the win.
Logan Carey led Maine with 17 points, followed by TJ Biel with 11.
