Denver Bachmann, Scarborough senior forward: One of the four Maine Soccer Coaches Association All-Americans this season, Bachmann scored nine goals and provided eight assists for a team that had an 18-0 season to claim the Class A state championship.

Finn Coburn, Scarborough senior defender: The Varsity Maine Player of the Year was also named SMAA Defensive Player of the Year and an MSCA All-American. Coburn led a Red Storm back line that allowed just 12 goals. He also scored 11 goals and provided five assists.

Casey Corcoran, South Portland senior forward: The Red Riots were a force in Class A South, and Corcoran was the key to their attack. The senior MSCA All-Region selection was involved in more than half of South Portland’s 50 goals, scoring 17 and assisting on 10.

Owen Corrigan, Caribou senior forward: Corrigan’s 46 goals was the most of any player in the state, and the fourth-most in a single season in Maine high school boys soccer history. He was an MSCA All-Region pick, as well as the PVC B North Player of the Year.

Landon Dominski, Greely senior goalkeeper: Widely regarded as the state’s best keeper, Dominski recorded 10 clean sheets and allowed just nine goals. This is the second consecutive Varsity Maine All-State selection for Dominski.

Oliver Gorchoff, Brunswick junior forward: The Dragons claimed their third A North crown in five years, and Gorchoff was a big reason. The junior scored 25 goals and had five assists, beating out a talented field to earn KVAC A Player of the Year honors.

Lucas Hayner, Yarmouth junior midfielder: Hayner brought home major honors, earning Western Maine Conference and MSCA Class B player of the year awards, and MSCA All-American distinction. He recorded 11 goals and 11 assists for the Clippers, who won another Class B title.

Connor Middleton, Camden Hills junior midfielder: Middleton (25 goals) was the top scorer for a high-octane team that averaged nearly four goals per game en route to a third consecutive Class A North title-game appearance. He earned MSCA All-Region honors.

Connor Skillin, Greely senior forward: While Dominski was a brick wall at the defensive end of the pitch, Skillin led a potent attack up front. His 29 goals set a program record and helped the Rangers reached a second straight Class B South championship game.

Elliot Trott, Oceanside senior midfielder: The Mariners won their first regional title, and Trott, who had nine goals and five assists, was their engine in the midfield. The three-year captain earned MSCA All-Region and KVAC B Player of the Year honors.

Simon Wissink, Falmouth junior forward: Wissink was a menace up front for the Class A South runner-up Navigators, pouring in 19 goals and adding eight assists. The junior was an MSCA All-American selection as well as the SMAA Forward of the Year.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Mark Diaz, Scarborough: Perfect seasons are nigh impossible in Class A soccer, but Diaz’s Red Storm did it this fall, becoming the first Class A boys team to go undefeated and untied since Lewiston in 2015. He was chosen as United Soccer Coaches Association Region 1 Boys Large School Coach of the Year.
