DEAR SUN SPOTS: Mexico Congregational Church, UCC (the “Green Church”), 163 Main St., will hold its annual Sweets for Your Sweetie sale Saturday, Feb.14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Delicious goodies in festive Valentine packaging will be on sale. A few new events have been added this year. Photographer Kylie Robin will be available from 10 a.m. to noon for photo of people and their beloved pets in a Valentine setting.
Brunch will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu choices are breakfast casserole, quiche, sausage rolls, fruit, cinnamon rolls and coffee or tea.
A room of attic treasures will also be available, which will include a selection of puzzles and books for chilly winter days.

Our family’s tradition is to gather for brunch. There are three generations, extended family, tag-along friends, and at least three dogs on the scene. Chaotic? Yes. But we’ve been doing this for decades. The food is fantastic and fun can really break up the winter blues!
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have a unique leather tobacco pouch that belonged to my grandfather. I would like to see about getting it repaired and it seems that I remember you have some information on people who specialize in this type of service. Can you please publish that again? — Gene, no town
ANSWER: I can recommend Pelletier’s Custom Upholstery and Leatherwork. He repairs bags, purses, belts, and can also take care of leatherwork and/or upholstery for ATVs, motorcycles, autos, boats, furniture, holsters, or sheaths, or replace zippers.
