The tendency of Lewiston/Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse has been to win two or three games then drop one or tie. The Blue Devils’ current win streak reached three games with a big 4-1 victory over Cheverus/Yarmouth. That has moved the Lewiston co-op up to third in the Varsity Maine boys hockey poll, usurping Cheverus/Yarmouth, last week’s No. 3.

This is the highest the Blue Devils have been ranked this winter.

The only other change in the rankings is Scarborough moving up a spot to fourth. Thornton Academy is the unanimous No. 1 for the fifth consecutive week, and Messalonskee is still second.

The Varsity Maine boys hockey poll is based on games played before Feb. 3, 2026. The top five teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.

BOYS HOCKEY
1. Thornton Academy (9) 45
2. Messalonskee 31
3. Lewiston co-op 29
4. Scarborough 11
5. Cheverus/Yarmouth 9
