FARMINGTON — The Industry Road was shut down  early Monday while police investigated an early morning crash involving a pickup truck hauling a box-trailer and a car just in front of the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

Warren Scott, 53, of Farmington was turning a Farmington Quality Builders truck and trailer in to the animal shelter to work on the new dog pens when a vehicle driven west by Chad Luker, 16, of Industry struck the vehicle and it tipped over.

Scott said he could not see the vehicle coming on the slight hill but police were reconstructing the accident to determine the speed of Luker’s vehicle,  Farmington Officer Courtney Krause said at the scene.

No one was injured in the 7:40 a.m. crash.  Aaron Scott and Chet Alexander were with Scott in the truck.

Scott was driving a 2002 GMC truck and Luker had a 1991 Toyota.

Farmington Police, officers from Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and members of Farmington Fire and Rescue helped at the scene.
